Hello Friends.
Today i am posting a picture of a dragonfly captured in Hebbal Lake in bangalore. Thisis my first dragonfly shot and as if it knewit was very patient with me.
Here are few details of the dragonflies:
Scientific classification:
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Class: Insecta
Order: Odonata
Suborder: Epiprocta
Infraorder: Anisoptera
A dragonfly is a type of insect belonging to the order Odonata, the suborder Epiprocta or, in the strict sense, the infraorder Anisoptera. It is characterized by large multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong transparent wings, and an elongated body. Dragonflies are similar to damselflies, but the adults can be differentiated by the fact that the wings of most dragonflies are held away from, and perpendicular to, the body when at rest. Even though dragonflies possess 6 legs like any other insect, they are not capable of walking. Dragonflies are also the fastest flying insect.

I have some doubts about the sharpness, but I like the visible net structure in the wings.
Hello Pearl,
The focus appears to be on the compound eyes, the wing pattern and design is well defined. It takes a tremendous amount of patience for this kind of photography and that you get a praise from me. I am glad you showed the dragonfly in its entirety. My best regards...Danilo
Ciao Pearl, a little lack of sharpness but beautiful dragonfly with splendid light and colors, good details, very well done, ciao Silvio
