Indian mangoes
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I photographed these mangoes soon after they were picked up by the family who owned the tree. They were on sale just outside their home on a roadside stall.
In India mango trees are passed on to the generations as family heirlooms. I was attracted by the aroma and bought them at a good price.I was more impressed by the flavor and their taste.
Mango is the King of fruits in Tropical countries and the most popular fruit in Southeast Asia. After a few mangoes get ripe on the tree all other mangoes are picked and put into small earthenware pots with straw to ripen. Family and friends get together for a mango party and is one of the fondest times of summer festivities.
