| I was invited by some Christians I met at a restaurant, to attend a public Christmas party. Indians enjoy dancing with great gusto. They had a live band that played traditional to pop music. People wore all kinds of clothes, from traditional to hip. Many of the women had exquisite beaded, sequined or rhinestone studded, saris or ethnic skirts, with tight blouses and veils. It was pretty dark in the huge dirt area where they danced. At the end of the night they would sit on the ground, then jump up for Jesus when the announcer started the music again, and again! No booze, no drugs, just fun! |
