| I happened to notice sunlight falling on this dry plant still standing seemingly death defying with its fate sealed. It was raining heavily since morning and the ray of light only lasted for a few minutes. The tree and the ground surface were completely drenched by the shower which led to the reflections in water. The idea was to get the shades of light and the shadows created by it which has its adding influence on the reflecting surface of water as well as the influence the abstract subject creates on them.I personally felt that without the greens of the plant and the shadows created by it,this image would have been incomplete. The tree was just a subject in the image coupled with a combination of lights, shadows and reflections. |

Welcome to TrekLens Ravish
Certainly an intriguing debut - the imagination to see the potential of this shot and share it with us is admirable.
May I ask why you placed the twig in the centre of the frame?
Did you consider this as a black-and-white? Your note mentions the power of the light and shadow, and b&w is a strong way to draw attention to those things while removing the distractive element of colour.
I look forward to seeing more.
