An opportunistic shot and one with a good composition. The shot does lack sharpness, which with a 30mm focal length I'm assuming is because you were some distance away from the bird. The whites are also overexposed, so dropping down a couple of f/stops might have compensated for this and probably wouldn't have increased the exposure time too much. So well done for spotting the bird but the camera technique needs a little work.
