Hi Friends,
Just few steps from my home I found these children they got very exited when they saw the camera in my hand. I took many shots of them here is one of them,
They are called Banjaras they live in temporary tents they really live in bad conditions these children are illiterate and many of them are send to work in building houses and others by there parents because of poverty.
They are basically nomads.
I hope there will be development in there conditions.

Little more about Banjaras,
Banjara is a community in India spread in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. They are also spread in other states of India. Locally they are known by different names such as Banjara, Lambadi, Sugali, Ghor etc. They live in settlements called Tandas, They have a unique culture and Dance form. The women wear colorful and beautiful costumes and have tattoes on their hands. A model of a Lambadi Women with her picturesque dress is one of the most attractive exhibits at the chennai museum. They are classified as Scheduled Tribes in Andhra Pradesh. They speak the Lambadi Language. Their traditional occupation is agriculture and trade. Banjaras are also a group of nomadic cattle herders.

Namaste Vaibhav

A superb group portrait & daily life scene of the children at play. Reasonable sharpness, & well composed, with marvellous colour. Well done!

Hi Viabhav,

This is a lovely picture and all kinds of interesting things to see BUT (yes - have to tell you what I think) next time try to get down to their level and take a bit of time to include all of their legs and shoes or bare feet - in ..out of ten, this way it's a 7/10 but you can make it 9/10 easily!!

The details here are great and the colours work well.
My suggestion would be to crop more tightly and eliminate the boy on the left, keeping only the other four -- that would give you a great diagonal composition and makes the fact that you have cut off their feet completely inconsequential

Hi Vaibhav, lovely composition with splendid smiling children, good light and colors, very well done, ciao Silvio

Good morning again Vaibhav,

The expressions on the children's faces are very very sweet. So sad that they have live a life of such poverty and struggle, though it does sound like they have a rich life in other ways than materially.

You have very young to have such an understanding of compassion, which is a good thing. It's also good that you provide information about these people, so that we have a little more understanding.

I saw a program on TV recently about German doctors who use their vacations to travel to impoverished places in the towns of India to care for incredibly poor people. It was very moving, even it won't completely change their plight.

Have a good day!

Richard

Hi Vaibhav

extremely touchy shot of the nomads... the banjaras of our country. Even in the 21st century we have nomadic life that too out in the streets of Country in the big states.

Feel really sorry to see all these but this is how India goes.

May God bless these lesser souls.

mk subba

Happy in spite of their very poor conditions. Beautiful portraits, Vaibhav!
