SCANNED SLIDE
This photo was taken back in 1994 on a trip to a place named Chadipur, India. Chadipur is only half a day train ride from Calcutta to a state call Orissa. The sea in Chadipur is unique, after the high tide it moves almost a mile away and as a result some sea creatures get starnded.
I saw this jelly fish on our walk on the beach and to show the size of the creature I positioned my wife, my friend and his wife around it.
Hope you enjoy.

Sad, isn't it! This creature of the deep that looks so bright and graceful in its element is here reduced to a blob of matter that will melt away with the sun ...
But well-taken, Pranab, and yes, the sun on the feet look so enticing. The softness of focus is understandable.

Very interesting sea animate.
Good color pranab, Thank for sharing.

Dear lion king,

This a real big jellyfish. Are the dangerous in the ocean?
The size of the feats shows the size of the jellyfish very well
Never hope to meet them in the water

Hi Pranab,
This is a very original composition! The jellyfish in centre and three pair of feet showing who is admiring the catch!
An interesting documentary with good colours and details...

Curious creature, interesting photo.

What a huge jelly fish. I thought of going there before, but Orissa did not let me in temples, so I gave up, went to tamil nadu. If I had known creatures might be present, I am sure I would have gone. It looks prefctly arranged for a shot. I just love this picture!

Hi Pranab
The creature seems very big. Like the way you composed the feet. Their reflection is good as well.

Hi Pranab,
What a giant jellyfish, looking so useless down there on the sand, far from the wide sea, where legs and feet become useful...
