Darjeeling is an attractive Indian hill town in eastern India, adjacent to Nepal. Snowcapped Kanchenjunga, the worlds' third highest peak, can be seen on the horizon. It is 8,586 metres (28,169 feet) high. For a closer view of Kanchenjunga at dawn, please see:

Hi Chris,
I like this POV with this superb view. This is a great place that you have capture very well. I like the diagonal of the town with the great colors and this foggy mountain in the background. Very well done.
Luc

Awesome view ...Absolutely lovely!!

salam from an INDIAN !!!
yes Darjeeling is one of the most attractive places in India. But Chris i wud like to see the more hill view rather than those buildings. hope in the next post u wil show it to us.

thanks
sangeeth

Hi Chris,
This is a difficult shot to expose and you have managed well. I particularly like the softer mountain ranges in the distance against the rather harsh foreground esp that rather large distracting block of building.

PS: Thank you very much for your comment on Lone

So THIS is where the tea comes from! Interesting juxtaposition of casual and relaxed town environment and distant dramatic nature in the raw. Could have given the mountains more prominence?

Very nice panoramic view Chris!

Right place for this shot! Difficult to balance the luminosity with these shaded areas. You managed it well in the circumstances.

Very impressive picture! I find the colors amazing...as if a good part of that village was under a big cloud and the rest was under the sun? The view is superb! What a nice collection of oriental landscapes you have! TFS!
