Hi all,

Recently i was in the street markets of Mcleodganj (located in the state called Himachal Pradesh, India).
I had gone there for about 3 days, from New Delhi, India.

They are a good place to purshase but heavy on bargains. Sights like these are very common around Mcleodganj, where you would find stuff like this any many others like, small cymbals, knives, boxes, bowls, hooks, stones, idols made out of brass & other amalgamated metals, etc..

This frame caught my eye due to the light falling on it partially and the string of metal hanging down from the "Mani wheel" casting its shadow on the container under it and the red stones glaring into me as if they were some angry red eyes.

Besides, prayers and all that we know of Buddhism, from the road side material at display to be picked from, you would realize that the culture is very much into "Tantra-Mantra". You could see antiques made of up or bones, or studded with bones as well etc. and the stuff is really not cheap as it may feel for being a street stuff. I picked up a sculpted knife, which was about INR 20,000/- (USD 450) ...so much for street market eh? :)

Cheers
Sid
