Hello David,
Sharp and detailed picture. Liked your decision of frame style, matching with thin, long object. TFS!!

David,
This is wonderful. The texture and sharpness of the snake is spectacular. The design on his hood looks like a face with eyes and nose. That was very brave of you to get so close in order to capture such a memorable photo. You be careful out there. :) Excellent work.

Hello David, lovely close-up shot. The number 10 on phang is wonderful to look. TFS
Vandana
ps: Actually the vannum of cobra is third as far as the strength of the killing is considers. Kret comes first, then Russel and then Cobra (in India). The reason the Cobra bite dies fast (30 minutes) is due to his place of the main poision teeth. They are infront on their phang, and that's why when they bite, discharge all vannum from the sack. Kret and Russel poision teeth are on little back side of the phang, and when they bite, couldn't dischange complete vannum from the sack, hence the time delay in death (around 45-60 minutes). Enjoy this mumbo-jumbo from one more snake lover (catcher).

Hi David,

P.S. In terms of your note I have to add that ancient Egyptians where very considerate and respectful to cobras. They treat them as god too.:)

Hi David,
I'm impressed! Stunning capture of this cobra! So sharp! You very really lucky to have her around your neck without biting you. They are very pretty, that collar is so interesting, seems to be a funny face drawn in there. Very good framing and placing the subject. You do a really good job. Your note is useful like always. I hardly wait for your next photo and story with it.
Have a lovely day!

Hi,
Nice shot of the back side of the snake.
Some nice graffiti shown here, typical for this species - lots of contrast and in depth detail here.
Good note.

Wow, remarkable David. Great subject, and this symmetrica composition is perfect. Great on the technical details (focus and exposure). Just a minor nit, but I find the layer frame a bit distracting -- the subject is so prefect, I wouldn't try to get cute and distract from what you have.
Mike
Wow, this beast is watching which ever way his head is turned, superb shot and excellent POV

Hi David.
It's a dead center back head of cobra. You captured it very well and with focal length 109mm, it's very close to this deadly animal.
You have a strong courage to this shot.
Fine detail of the skin, and lovely presented.
Tfs,
