Just after rain shot of a leaf soaked in nature's own and pure nectar.

======================================================

This image has been touched up a bit using Corel PhotoPaint.
Prominent areas where I thought a little work was needed were:

Color balance: Masked everything other than the leaf in focus and increased the gamma by a degree or two.
Saturation: Increased it by a degree or two again to add richness to colors.
Sharpness: Added a few degrees of adaptive sharpness and reduced a bit of noise.
Size: Cropped a little from below so that image is a little more neat and balanced.
Focus: Masked the leaf and then used Gaussian blur to increase tidiness.

Also for better presentation I have added a frame which has been given a glassy look using wet mode as i found it most suitable considering the color scheme of the image.

Hope I did justice to the actual shot and thanks to Alper (twin) for timely and needed advice :D
Cheers!

Hi Prasan,
a fascinating effect here.
Focus is very good in the subject area - the narrow DOF has worked very well.
Very good work!

Just a personal thought: I'm sure it will also look interesting with some PP- more saturation (for more rich greens) and with perhaps a slight contrast boost - I could do a WS to show you what I mean - that is if you want..
But otherwise it's a good shot the way it is.

Best regards, Daniel

hi Prasan,
Excellent images, super comp and sharpness. Very nice effect with the droplets. Super!
Regards
Flemming

Hi Prasan! I like the big droplet as the subject. You can use smart-sharpen to make your images sharper, if your using Photoshop. You can also saturate it to make it more interesting.
TFS,
Freddie :)

Hi Prasan, this is a great macro! And nice waterdroplets.
Well achieved, nice colours, and very sharp.
Good use of dof.

Well done! Yan :)
ps: many thx for the crit on "Rideau Falls" :)

Nice image. I like the way the water avoids the leaf.

Hello Prasan,

You have an eye for beauty and for detail! Wonderful subject and composition. I am sure if I look hard enough I could figure out what the image is in the large drop of rain?

Take care,
Bettina Marie =0)

Excellent close-up!
The details are very well captured, and the refraction in the drop adds to the beauty...
Well composed presentation, and the macro work is well done!
Ana
