...At Empty Hollows...

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I am aware of the fact that not a lot of people are really fond of big frames, but going by the thought process in my mind, I really found it apt, rather necessary to have it out here. The frame is a tool to accentuate the feeling of emptiness and vastness within people.
There are times when we do feel lost... defeated... confused... our mind ceases to fight with the arbitrary problems and situations of our lives which most of the times end up getting the better of us. No matter how hard we try. At a time as such, we find ourselves staring blankly into the empty space, as if to hope that it would enable a fresh start, a beginning that will enthrust us with that one more chance to go back and start all over again. To go ahead and undo all the things that have led us to really sit that way and wish for it. But then don't we all end up in that Vicious Cycle? Yes, we do! And yet, all we can do is condense ourselves on that lonely chair at the corner and stare... At Empty Hollows...

Really interesting shot, especially the framing and the picture itself just looks like its older. Very cool PP work, nicely framed in my opinion, and good idea.

Hi Varun
This image got my attention, and after reading the note I knew why.
Excellent presentation and note.

I think the frame is perfect for the portrait here Varun, and it works very well with the grainy b&w treatment of subject.
if anything, you could have had even more negative space to the right, and your subject even further to the left, to emphasise your point.
Excellent work!
