Good journalistic and documentary post Vanadana, Keeping the fishermen in the composition bring a lot of perspective and sense of scale to the construction of these fishing installations.

But now, the costs of this CHEENA VALA is very high and I think, the numbers have come down recently.. Yet this stands as a symbol of KOCHI....

I wonder why they are called "Chinese" nets as the only place I have seen them used is in India..?

I am here till 3th week of Jan , work.
Had a little car accident and a painfull knee, but all ok.
Car was picked-up by our ANWB service and insurance helped me with a nice rental car . A truck driver failed to give way to me.

The repetition and the diagonal line give both a great feel of depth to this wonderful photo. You not only managed to get a great vantage point, you also exposed it perfectly and got a wonderful sky to work with. All in all an excellent photo.
