what a big eyes this owl have.. :) this one make me smile looking at it.. a bit different than the ordinary owls. lovely contribution the theme :) as always you take a good picture and i like the owl quote too

Hi Vandana,

Fantastic entry for the Friday theme. Good sharp image with impressive eyes of a vibrant yellow.

If I can be little critical of the whole image though, I think the composition would be improved if the Owl was either looking directly at the camera and/or the negative space was to the left of the Owl, the same direction as the Owl is looking. It's also a pity the background is a very similar colour to the Owl, something outside your control I know.

I think this looks really really lovely Vandana.
Maybe because of all those dark hairs sticking out every which way.
He probably loves his cage dark, otherwise he would close his eyes.

Hi Vandana

He is a lovely fellow and you have caught the beautiful eyes perfectly. I love the look he is giving you. Nice sharp detais caught in some obviously tricky lighting conditions. You could get some more light and details in the feathers with some photoshop tweaks. I had a play to see if it could be done and got a nice result with s shadows and highlights and a curves tweak.

It is a lovely shot and perfectly suits the theme
