"The oldest living city i the world".
A few weeks ago I was walking near Lal ghat early in the morning and I saw this young man with a smooth skin who was looking at a mirror.
I came close and as this happened along river Ganga in Varanasi (Benaras) where reality sometimes melts with dreams, where stardust covers sadness and timeless moments are frozen forever, I heard the mirror speaking.
It said something like:
"I'm your mirror's reflection
What you don't like about me is what you hate in yourself,
You should see through others eyes..." (Lyrics from Taproot).
There is some magic in this picture, now I can see the reflection of my friend Durga who didn't shave in the mirror... |

I like this portrait a lot Laurent. Not just the base image - beautifully lit, so clear and sharp and with perfect placement of his reflected face - but with good PP around the frame, too. It almost feels as if we're observing through a window.
Very nicely done

Interesting portrait shot - well conceived with the use of the mirror with superb lighting. The pp work with the frame gives the picture the feel of being a reflection itself, which leaves the viewer wondering just what it is they are looking at - great stuff!
