[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A LITTLE bird, with plumage brown,
Beside my window flutters down,
A moment chirps its little strain,
Then taps upon my window-pane,
And chirps again, and hops along,
To call my notice to its song;
But I work on, nor heed its lay,
Till, in neglect, it flies away.

So birds of peace and hope and love
Come fluttering earthward from above,
To settle on life's window-sills,
And ease our load of earthly ills;
But we, in traffic's rush and din
Too deep engaged to let them in,
With deadened heart and sense plod on,
Nor know our loss till they are gone.

Hello Manuj,a beautiful picture of the humble sparrow.
Unfortunately, in the U.K. sparrows are on the decline.So how nice to see this shot.
I like everything about it; the colours and sharpness are wonderful.I like that it has its beak open,was it singing?I wonder.

A nice poem, 'The Sparrow' by Paul Laurence Dunbar, Manuj. And, though many consider them to be rather dull because of their low-profile plumage, I really like these birds. They're almost extinct in Belgium, I'm afraid, but we have a lot of them in a hedge in the garden, and they gather there every evening for a chit-chat - a very pleasant "noise".
A nice capture too, there's nice details on the sparrow but there's also a lot of space (for his song).

Fine details in the close-up of this little fellow!
The plumage is well reproduced with fine colours, and the point of view shows the details well...
This one looks very much like the one that came into my kitchen yesterday, flying through an open window probably looking for food!
