It's a pity you were let down by your camera here. The composition is magnificent, I absolutely love it. Great contrast between light and dark, great light on the sand, excellent elements (boat/dog/man), but unfortunately the camera fared poorly @ ISO 800. There is noise (which isn't a bad thing by itself, but it's the "digital" kind, which reduces clarity and dynamic range without improving the tonality) and the image quality, overall, is rather poor.

You should definitely try to take a similar shot with another camera, OR, use a tripod, select a slower shutter speed and a lower ISO setting
