Clicked this portrait on my way to Gangtok from Lachung, Sikkim.
The Lachung villagers, known as Lachungpas, have managed to retain their unique culture and tradition. The Lachung monastery on the slope opposite the highway is a focal point of all religious function of the local inhabitants. |

I like what you've tried to do here Subhash, but I think there are few basic points that need to be shared.
The lady should have been ideally placed more to the right so she's the main subject. What you get here, is the eye glances off her right shoulder straight into the end of the picture. The Road automatically leads the eye off the subject into the empty distance.
I would also suggest a lower point of view, so the camera is level to, or slightly below eye level, and that would have blanked out the unwanted background, and would have also made the highlighted cheek on the right of her face more pleasing.
Also, you've cropped off her lower arm. For portrait shots, you shouldn't crop limbs at the extremities, especially arms (Although you can get away with losing legs from the knees down on occasion)
I do like the picture however, and the lady's expression, weathered and textured skin tones and simple clothing add to the mood of the setting, which tells us a little about her lifestyle and surroundings
Keep up the good work, and keep posting.
