Welcome to Trek Lens!
This is an okay subject for start. But I suggest you do some editing to your picture before you post it. You could have sharpened it first and do some color adjustments to it so that it wouldn't look a bit blurry & soft. This would have looked better if you had your background blurry so that the flower, which is your main subject would stand out nice. And try not to crop some part of your shot too much. Try to have it balanced so that it will look good.
By the way, try to post some guidelines on your shots so that others who are viewing your picture will be able to learn from your techniques. Since this is a photography site, we are here to 'learn' from one another's styles and shots.
