[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Land Lotus (Hibiscus mutabilis). This is also known as the Confederate rose, Cotton rose or the cotton rosemallow. The flowers grow on a tree which can be between 10-20 ft. The flowers are white, pink or red. They do not have any characteristic smell.
Flowers can be double or single and are 4 to 6 inches in diameter; they open white or pink, and change to deep red by evening (Wikipedia).
This photo is taken in the afternoon. The leaves are full of dust(I would prefer them rain washed!). I found this by the side of a busy road where lots of trucks and buses ply all the time.
