This picture (of many) from Qutub Minar, built in 1199 and 72.5m high, was taken while kneeling on the ground and trying to take as much of it as possible, while keeping in focus the beautiful calligraphy. It is all done on stone, on red and yellow sandstone. It is a magnificient structure and a must see if you pass by New Delhi. The kind of stone work and detail in engraving is truly fantastic. I don't think anyone has that kind of patience anymore to build such a structure.
I have only adjusted the levels of the colors and sharpened it a bit. I am toying around with the idea of changing it to BW, so I might do that in a workshop soon. Kindly let me know what you think :) |

Hi Hager!
Nice PoV on this one..
I especially love the engraving..I believe they are verses from the Quran?
I feel the scaffolding(??) at the right is a little distracting and shows the over-exposed outline of the Minar..Maybe I'll do a workshop too on this one..
TFS, it's been more than 20 years since I last visited this as a kid..
Cheers!

That is a nice view of Qutub Minar. It's really wonderful to see it again in a different view after almost 7 years :) Good POV. TFS.
