SCANNED SLIDE
This shot was taken at Chadipur, Orrisa, India.
One interesting thing about Chadipur is its beach, which in low tide moves far away from the shore and you have to walk almost a mile get to the waves. I saw these father and son team of fishermen walking back during low tide from their hard day of work. I used my telephoto lense to capture this moment.
There is no post processing, light reflected from the water and overcast day made this color possible.

Dear Pranab, this is a wonderful shot. The colour looks quite unnatural but gives the effect of an aged picture. Only thing I would like to enhance is the compostion. It is clearly against the rule of thirds as the object is so deadly centered. Otherwise very well done. Yours, Jan

great photo !
i slightly disagree with Jan because rule of thirds is not valid in some cases, so in this one (my opinion) is centered subject an awesome choice coz one of the motives of this photo is the big open space all around the subject, if compo was cut to the left you could be thinking that there is something near but with this option it clearly shows the "space"

Hi Pranab - every thing is just wonderful about this picture except for the focus. Wish the duo was sharper in your taking - it would have been a flawless picture. It is good still for a lovely composition and unique monochramatic colour.

wonderful colours.
I like the central compo here because it enlarges the scene, the lonelynes sensation and the beauty malve atmofere.

Hi Pranab,
This came up in "Featured..."...
Interesting image, in spite of some digital noise due to scanning!
The composition is exciting! Minimalistic approach with very few elements... The colour is very unusual to say the least! Interesting to see this, I appreciate your posting!
Greetings,
Pablo -
