[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I spent week end with family in hilly area, and it's fresher and cleaner city. Plenty of tropical flowers which grow in this area.

I use Nikor 105mm with f/3, expected to get blurred BG, but I have difficulties to get proper speed. I did not change the color, but set multiple speed when I take this image. Too bright morning for f/3, and I started from 1/600 to 1/1.600; and the proper lighting is 1/1000.

I start learning the manual setup, and have the feeling of proper image.

Hope you like it.

Cheers,
Tjutjut

Hi Tjutjut, nice macro, good colours and lighting. :)

Hi Tjutjut:
I like your F/3 giving sharpness where you need and defusing where you wanted. Excellent saturation (may be crop a little on the side:) Most excellent presentation with superb dof to pop this on my screen:)
David

Lovely details and colour Tjutjut.
Beautiful image.

Regards Mark

hi tjutjut, great shot, the lighting is superb, the depth of field excellent, composition is brilliant! really nice job capturing this tropical looking flower, well done! thanks scott

Great use of light, and fantastic color saturation, as well as POV, focusing, and details.
Thanks!
Leanne

Hello Tjutjut,
Very nice shot of the flower, however when shooting macro, you need at least f8 for opening, or f11, f22...and you do need very good light, at that opening when you, when you manually focus on the flower, the background will certainly be blurred enough, also you do not need shutter speed as high as that, for sports competition and action shots high speed is must, here even 1/200 is enough.

Jelena

A very nice photo, the colours are really beautiful. The DOF is almost perfect, except for the petal closest to the camera. But otherwise congratulations,

helo tjutjut...
untuk yang ini kalau aku liat aga terlalu kencang sinar mataharinya ya....
terlebih dari arah sebelah kanan, tapi secara keseluruhan POV, DOV, terutama focus ok sekali,

Hi Tjutjut,
Lovely macro of this flower! Beautiful colour, really leaps out at you, and shows up well against the dark background. TFS
Cheers Tina :-)

Hi Tjutjut...
105 Nikon this the very good lens but taste such close relations on f7-11 .... use the tripod if should. And the frame? Cut off right side and add left. The flower will have the more place. Colours and contrast very good... and the dark background !! I like this the most !!
The very good work !! I ask about more...
Marek

Bonsoir Tjutjut,
J'aime beaucoup les fleurs jaunes et celle-ci possède de belles couleurs, un excellent point de vu, very sharp macro picture, très jolie photo..

I love the strong yellow of this photo. It makes it stand out from the green background. I also like the use of light with the sunlight shining on the flower but also creating the right amounnt of shadows. It reminds of antoher photo here on TL: http://www.treklens.com/gallery/Europe/United_Kingdom/photo282946.htm

specifically because of the colors. Great work!!
