Malang (pronounced as Ma-Lung), is in east Java, and was administered by the colonial Dutch, for nearly 400 years. (Some would argue that 'administered' is too kind a word). So I should not have been surprised to see a Dutch Protestant Cathedral, in a predominantly Moslem country. I liked the hot cold color contrast here of blue & red. The backdrop is an approaching thunderstorm.

Hi Chris,

Great perspective!
You show us how huge the Cathedral is. Rich colours that the sun light makes them look brighter. Excellent contrast with the blue sky!
Well done on the composition!

Constantinos

hello Chris, i think this has good colours and perspective. Well done

HI Chris

Love the perspective created by the angle well done
Gideon

The colour combination is eye-catching Chris, and accentuated by the dramatic POV. Excellent!

Hi Chris...
A wonderful symmetrical composition!
It is quite striking to see the colours they have chosen for the church... Fine details in the architecture, and it is easy to see the European design influence so I suppose this was build during the "administration" era...
Interesting image!
Greetings
Pablo -

Excellent architectural photo!!! I like the viewpoint. The lighting is nice as it brings out the details. I also like the rich colors.

Not exactly the expected colour scheme for a church/cathedral and more like a soccer team headquarters. I'd rather you'd scaled the building a la Spiderman and showed us the unexpected POV of looking down from the top. THEN, I'd have knelt before you and chanted "I am not worthy!"

Hi Chris,
The colour impact is so strong in this neat and clean composition. I love impending storm as it often brings out the contrast of the foreground and separates it from the sky. It works just as well here.

good central and upwards POV here chris :)
i think this is the best way to show a building of this type

good colors and details

Well done on this capture and composition.

It is unusual colours for a cathedral. Great angle, creates a majestic feeling. It stands out nicely against the dark sky. Good atmosphere.

Great capture Chris, the contrasty linear colours and POV are unique. Very well done and TFS, Sam.

nice colors & perspective. tfs

A great photo. Sharp, strong, simple, very impressive. Your POV flatters the structure and creates a very real sense of 'being there.' The colours are excellent, a very pure white complimenting the other hues. Great work!

I enjoy me too those great colors! It's special!
I would even make we will ask question... Is it about religion inside?
Yes it change a lot! :)

Sorry. It's nothing.
Perfectly ordinary photo of a building.
