[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I captured on my last night at Palu (capital city of Mid Sulawesi province). I facilitated a training session for the whole day, and spent the night having dinner at a small cafe on the beach, and had a chance to see this bridge very clearly.
The city is very active at night, specially after the bridge' lights are on, which is around 9 pm.

Without tripod, I was using car's roof as the base, but forget to set to higher ISO.

I just straighten and resize the image.

Thank you for viewing it.

Cheers,
Tjutjut

Hi Tjutjut. Good work to achieve a steady result at night. It is more difficult than anyone would imagine. I like the compressed look of this bridge via your telephoto. Good work. Murray.

hi there, tjutjut
night shots, night visions, and vistas... fine. I also use a car as a tripod sometimes... and even other objects.
you may set your camera to shoot "raw" images, you can change the exposure and other parameters from within the raw editor. the overall quality of your images will increase.
thanks
wish you all the best,
cal

Hi Tajujut :)
Bagi saya ini dah cukup cantik my friend.Saya kagum dengan hasilnya, menggunakan iso 100 motret waktu malam tanpa menggunakan tripod ada lah mustahil hasilnya secantik begini.
Ketajamannya pun sungguh fantastik.Yeh!honestly..

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Tamar Tranquillity VII’

Hi Tjutjut,
Perfect nocturnal shot, partcular considering you didn't use a tripod. The picture creates a great mood with the bridge nicely lightened.

:) Later...

This is VERY nice Tjutjut! Very hard to manage night shots, but you did VERY well! We have a bridge like this also here in Texas! The Fred Hartmann is very much like this with the yellow cables! I like it very much!

I'll be back!!!..........

Even without changing the ISO, the result is very interesting and the focus is on the bridge only this way.
I love it.

Hello Tjutjut,
A good diagonal composition!
The subject is well framed, I feel this low light capture adds a different and interesting dimension to the subject...
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Tjutjut,
interesting capture.
good light modelling on the bridge arches.
Personally though I feel the image is under-exposed.
As you indicated in your note, use of a tripod will help you expose for longer (as just setting a higher ISO can introduce noise).

Still, a decent posting.
best regards, Daniel
