[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A man on the roof is putting the finishing touches to what then was the new museum in Bukit Tingi. 'Bukit Tingi' is Indonesian for 'High Hill'. The area is about 700 metres (2000 feet) above sea level.

The water buffalo is an integral part of the local daily life (ploughing rice paddies eg) & both the scuptures of the Miningkabau people in the fg, & museum roof, reflect the shape of the buffalo horns.

Hi Chris,
wonderful shot, I like the POV and composition; it's bvery inviting. The stairs draws my eyes into the picure to explore the wonderful sharp detail. Colors and light are very nice.
TFS..Sky

Hi Chris, interesting architecture, good lighting and sharp details, cropping the left part a little would have created a nice symmetry imho..

The man on the roof is THE element here. Such an impressive structure and that size NOW shown to us by that inclusion.
I just had a thought. There are so rarely any people in your shots. Is this on purpose? I would like to see more people. These statues here almost qualify - but they don't quite make it. They certainly add AND make the composition come 'alive' and the obvious temptation toward symmetry has been successfully resisted.
Very enjoyable culture sampler.

Hi Chris,
This is a great piece of architecture!
Look at all lines stretching after the sky... The whole building is in an upward movement!
Well composed, great colours & details
Greetings,
Pablo -

P.S. Thank you very much for your kind comments.

u know i didnt see that man first.
after reading ur note only i came to know oops. this one is beautiful
y u didnt go for symmetry here ie, the steps in the centre of the pic and equal areas in left n right.
thanks for showing a 2000 feet above museum view

Yes i spot the man on the roof at first look! The question i feel invert. Now humains do the ornament on the roof and statues wait the taxi! :)
It's not every day we see that but the man help very well to scane those points of roof!
