[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Under Dutch colonial controller, Ubud palace was given comparative autonomy to conserve and develop traditional arts and culture, backed-up by its colonial supervisors.
Throughout the 20s and 30s, Ubud was portended as Bali’s cultural highlight, and became a well-groomed destination for adventurous foreign writers, anthropologists, artists and other creative spirits and culture vultures.

Early 70s, young backpackers began to disembark in Ubud, as they explored Asia searching for brainwave, mystical experience and a nice place to hang out.

Nowadays Ubud stands for vibrant arts and culture alongside some lavish resorts and villas, and all of that in the middle of well-preserved nature.


I already started a Bali travelogue on TrekEarth, but I also want to share some (different!) pictures on TrekLens - though sometimes from a same burst of shots.

Pittig straaltje licht komt daar uit de zon, Dennis !! Je hebt de belichting behoorlijk onder controle. Mooie plaat verder ook. Heeft wat weg van mijn achtertuin.... ;-)
