[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Late afternoon traffic-jams on Jalan.Balaikota in the old quarter of central Medan,booming capital of North-Sumatra and one of Indonesias largest cities.
Many old Dutch colonial buildings can still be found in this section of the town,a nice stopover for us when visiting my wifes family around Lake-Toba,about 175 km down south.

A tribute to Yan!, a very skillfull friend and his wonderful work from North-Sumatra!

Great capture Jan, good light and saturation, very nice depth of field and sharpness throughout, a whole lot of stories told in a single shot.

Hoi Jan,
Prachtige aansprekende kleuren en licht in deze foto.
Het is al weer tien jaar geleden dat ik daar geweest ben. Het heeft een onuitwisbare indruk bij me achtergelaten.

Hoi Jan,
Hectisch plaatje. Mooi overzicht zo. Het valt op dat de auto's toch wel van betere kwaliteit zijn intussen. Dat was 10 jaar geleden wel even anders. Tsjonge.
Mooie heldere plaat met mooie kleuren.

Thank you :):):). I usually take a night stay in medan before i head to my parents house in siantar when I have a chance to go back, and usually I stayed in Deli. So i knew this place :):):)
