Shirakawa-go is in between Toyama and Ishikawa prefectural boundary, and formally it is in "Shirakawa village, Oono-gun, Gifu prefecture" and it a small village with a population of only 1900 people.
Shirakawa-go's ogimachi Gassho style settlement has been registered as world culture heritage in UNESCO. But if we think the words of World Heritage, we don't know what does it exactly mean. To be Honest, everybody's thoughts are same, aren't they? |
