[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
my first photo session in the year 2006 .....

woke up after a long wild night, the weather was beautiful, the sunshine comes trough the window. that made me come out with an idea. asked her to stand against the window, set the iso 400 to captured the alot of lights. and this is what i got.

friends were asking me, if i get my self a new lighting equipment for this shot. but nope i didnt. not just because of the price which is too expensive for me but also because of the limitation of electricity power for apartments in japan. the goverment limited the power eletricity to avoid danger and to save energy...

this is one of my picture where i use the nature as a lighting ...

Hi Willy,

Interesting fact about saving energy. We tend to forget how lucky we are were I am. As far as I’m concerned, there is nothing like ambient/natural light and you made good usage of it. However, I’m not sure about the cut
off arms.

Ben.

The window nicely substitutes for a white-lighted background. If you had not said it, I could think that you used two flashes to evenly illuminate white paper background. then used a flash on the right as main, and a reflector on the left. Good work. Nice composition, also.

Hi Willy
Cool portrait.
Eventhough both the arms are not visible but it provided a cool look. Especially the facial expression from the model.
Lovely lady.
Cheers.

Lighting aside (of which I admire your useage), I started with the title. The body language within the frame gives me the idea that she is standing inside a doorway to a room of light, where I want to be, but I am being blocked by the girl who is giving me exactly that look in stance and facial expression. I am not invited.
I'm totally happy with the arms being cut off. It is exactly as I see someone inside the doorway and barring my way.

WHY am I not invited. I am surely one of the beautiful people? Let me in!!!
