Hello Dom
I love the colours!
You have the essentials of a good composition here, but your dof is so shallow that it simply doesn't pop.
I would suggest that you try a much longer depth of focus, especially with a macro.
One more word of advice: All artists like to have their work appreciated and noticed. The best way to do that is to pay attention to the work of others in the gallery. Write at least 10 critiques of other people's pictures each time you post one of your own and you will soon have lots of people visiting yours and making helpful comments and suggestions.
