On August 9, at 11:02 am, 1945, Urakami, a northern suburb of Nagasaki in Kyushu, was the 2nd target for an atomic bomb attack, with an estimated 40,000 people perishing in the initial blast, & another 75,000 deaths from subsequent burns, radiation, & cancers.

This is an oragami or folded paper display of cranes, at the 'A Bomb' Peace museum, in northern Nagasaki, not far from the ground zero epicentre. The crane is a bird associated with peace.

Such a wonderful work, hi Christ - that's not easy to do, I tried it several years ago - that's nothing for me! But to look at is beautiful, I like it, thanks

Hello Chris
Your photo really has a lot of meaning, as per your note. A pretty display of colour and textures in these oragami cranes. The soft lighting brings adds some tranquility to your photo.
Peace & TFS Janice

Chris, I would say wonderful for this picture. Origami, the art of paper folding (did you learnt to do some Origami?). Sharp, and clear. :) Vandana
