Wonderful action shot! The lighting is superb. So beautiful.
I used to live in Tochigi so I visited Shirakawa quite some times :) The toll road from Shirakawa area to Nasu along mountains was my favourite driving route.

This is a wonderful photograph, caught at exactly the right time with the light behind the swan. This is so sharp and detailed that I can even see the droplets of water coming off of the swan's feathers. The colors, the reflection of the sun off the feathers are all perfectly captured. You have the moment, and that moment is beauty.

Dear Toru - You seem to be the swan specialist here on TL. This photo is a classic for its luminosity, soft colours and lines created by the flying swan. I like how the sun shines both onto its feathers and through the ones at the end of the wings. - Cheers, Cordelia :)
