adam; I like this shot very much! A quite simple scene, yet very well organized and composed by you. From the thumbnail, I thought it was a baby's foot coming out of a den or sthg of the kind;-)) i like the DOF too, even though I am wondering whether the focus is really on the foot or the buttocks...;-)? great compo again and good choice of B&w!

I like this unusual angle showing a small detail of japanese life uncluttered by any more context. B&W works well here and although i would like a little more to be in focus, i'm glad the foot is in focus rather than anything else. Great shot.

The choice of crop is excelent, but I guess you couldn't have much choice anyway, having her boyfriend so nearby. The composition is well spoted, and very unusual to western viewers. The foot is weirdly funny the way it is presented. Great work!

The composition of this photo is very powerful. The fact that the dress has lighter flowers on the fabric helps "lighten" up this part of the frame. I think with a solid dark print it wouldn't be nearly as powerful because there would be too much weight in the upper part of the frame. The lines from the mat, its little strings and the metal seam provide a nice guide to lead the viewer's eye throughout the frame. Nicely executed for a "sneak" shot.

This type of image really intriques me, Adam. I like to see little bits and pieces of story strewn about so I can think about what is happening and what significance it has. Delightful.

As kmolz sad, it's an and very unusual POV to western viewers. But the composition is simple and effective. The short DoF enhances teh foot it self rather then the suroundings and teh grain is nice in this picture. I really like this shot Adam.

A certainly different and unusual POV, yet, very effective, the whole perspective is a tribute to the culture of Japan!
I like the focus on the foot, leading me to believe that these people were only too glad to take off their shoes, and sit down for some R&R, as well as a nice traditional Japanese lunch.
Very good work on salvaging the image.
Very interesting, thanks Adam!

Especially the strong contrasts, the round shape of the woman's body and the perfect crop make that picture very attractive...
A bit of a pity you have to work so hard for us - ;o) - because we would love to see more of that kind of work.

adam,
this has a very artistic cropping style ,I wondered the color version.there looks like a nice flower garden and all the details have a feminine inspiration likewise.

I think this image shows a lot of softness and femininity. I love the grain. The floral print on her dress makes for a nice ddition to the image. Well done.

Es delicioso este momento robado a la pareja de al lado.
El grano de la fotografía le confiere una calidez al plano, insuperable. El encuadre esta barbaro y el pie es hermosísimo.
Me encanta!
