Warehouse of rice

This warehouses were built as ones of rice exchange of Sakata in 1893. It is called as alias "Sankyo Souko". The rice that the farmer brought in here was distinguished rank 1-5 by it's quality and stocked here.
Nowadays eleven buildings are used as the warehouses of rice.
And this warehouse is a structure of a double roof and internal structure of moisture prevention. A series of Zelkova trees defend warehouses from the setting sun of summer and the monsoon of winter. |
