Hello...this shot is taken in Kyoto,Japan

This is a scanned photo,March '99,film camera Olympus miu II.
In PP..
I cropped the top and the bottom...add frame, filter noise, add sharpness ...change a little bit colours saturation and contrast.
I will post the scanned photo I started from in WS.
Location..
This is Taizo-in temple. This temple is not famous as Kinkakuji or Ginkakuji ( I posted in the past)but it's always less crowded.I enjoyed a serene atmosphere...that atmosphre you expect from a Japanese temple and garden. This temple is situated in the complex of Myoshin-ji in western Kyoto. The Taizo-in has two gardens..the one in the photo and one more which is a good exemple of Karesansui (sand & rock garden).
Thanks...FRANCESCO

All the water and plants and rocks do create a very peaceful atmosphere. It looks a bit grainy but as you said scanned So for a scan great.

for a scanned photo this is not too bad, scanned photos always have a problem. It is a very nice garden well seen .
Christine.

Hi Francesco,

A nice shot here with good detail and nice colouring, I do like your scanned version here slightly better. Well done

Hello Francesco, once again great PP work using a scanned photo. Colours are good and perspective excellent. Japanese gardens really are delightful. We have a very small one in the centre of the city here being a sister city of another in Japan. Unfortunately ours is not kept as neat as the Japanese would. TFS

Very nice Photo, mainly beacause of many contrasts and armonies in colours, shapes, textures, reflextions, lights, transparencies... that exist in Japanese gardens. TFS.

Hi Francesco,

Nice image. Good composition, don't know if it was possible to take a lower POV and not have that branch in front of the hut.
I think you went to far in the PP with the saturation and the sharpness. But I did a workshop using your original. Can show you tomorow if you want to.

Cheers,
Pedro
