Japanese Landscape
The picture was taken on a bus ride to Mount Fuji. If I am not wrong, the landscape is dominated by tea plantations.
Technical Story
The picture was taken with a simple point and shoot camera. In '91 I was working in Singapore when I took this trip to Japan. My Nikon F501 received a good dose of humidity in the equatorial climate. In the south of Japan, it still worked, but as the winter got cooler with our progress to the north, the shutter got jammed, alas. So if you plan such a trip, beware! And please do not comment too much on the sharpness and on the horrendous time stamp...
Landscapes On The Ride
This is the second in my seriesof landscapes photographed while riding on bus, train, car and so on. Trying to catch these memories is an interesting experiment. Unlike in usual landscapes, in this situation there is no time to meticulously compose the shot. One has to cath the right moment. The foreground of these landscapes is often motion blurred, an effect that confers them a particular estethic. |

Hi Tibi,
It's a very nice landscape. I like the shades of green and the organized fashion of the plantations. The cloud formation is also spectacular.
