Here is a scene of those who visit a shrine.
I took this picture at Asakusa located Tokyo downtown.
Because this day was coming of age ceremony and New Year, precincts were very crowded just.

Event coming of age ceremony, that is invited people who attain adulthood in fiscal year when coming of age ceremony is done by local authority etc. , and is encouraged and blest. The lecture meeting and the party are held, and the commemorative gift is presented.
This celemony is the outline of "It is conscious to have become taking, and it celebrates and encourages the young person who tries to live through voluntarily" according to the national holidays law that was promulgated and enforced in 1948.
The root is in the project of the young person festival(1946) at Saitama prefecture for giving bright hope at that time of being in the state of lethargy by the defeat to young people who bear the next generation and the encouragements.
