TOKYO (AP) – Narita Airport disaster management crew worked around the clock to pump out the seawater that flooded the whole facility when a portion of Japan’s eastern seawall collapsed last night. Officials have confirmed that hundreds of flights have been directed to Nagoya and Fukuoka.

The seawall, built in 2008 as Japan’s primary protection against the rising sea level, is one of the strongest . . .

---------------
Im just taking a break from my usual post and trying out this fabulous flood filter. This is one of my "posterity shots" taken on the viewing platform of the Terminal 2 in Narita as I await boarding for my plane. Sorry about the horizon, my view is limited by the protective fence...
---------------

PP work;
Applied flood filter, slight adjustments of curves and levels, burned the sky a bit to recover details of the clouds, NeatImage for the sky, resized for TL

What you do think about this photo? :)

P.S. The polar ice caps are melting at an alarming rate, seriously...

Your colours play again and so do the textures and tones in this one with great colours and hues. That of course is a decisive moment as one doesn't get to see a flooded airport so often. Great you have been there during this. Nice journalistic work indeed.

Haha! Very creative, and one of the most believable and innovative uses of the flood filter I have seen.
Very well done
Rew

Hello Allan !

Be patient April Fool's Day is coming soon (^_^). Seriously , a cool shot. I might suggest you to crop the left plane to post a square format of the well illuminated 747.
Just a tought.

Cheers!

ayos ah, na idoy ko ba. pano ni? tagai ko b basi magamit ko ni sa mga still lifes.

Oh my... you totally got me with this one... I believed it, up until "trying out this fabulous flood filter." Sheesh, you'll give me a heart attack, I'm glued to the news so I was shocked to think I didn't know of this already. :P This is SO WELL DONE! You could sell it to a Tabloid magazine and make some fast money. :P Oh wow this looks so real... fantastic.

I am so sick of all these environmental dramas... why can't people just drop this debate on global warming, I mean whether it's the problem or not, we NEED to FIX these issues because they affect animals/humans and the environment, it's toxic pollution we're emitting! ARGH!

Well done Allan, this is a great PP!

Biance.
