A little experiment, really not my usual kind of thing.
I feel this is not quite what I was looking to get to, which was a kind of advertisement shot, so I would really appreciate any suggestions on how to improve this or how to get a better effect.

Composite of 2 shots with some feathering and blending.

Your comments and or critiques very much appreciated

I like this experiment. The lines and the shadows... are more atractive for me.

Hi Colin, interesting experiment, I'm thinking of doing some advertising type stuff too. This one looked real good on the thumbnail but when opened it's a little disappointing re soft focus. I think the word Global should be more prominent, maybe a little selective sharpening ?? Composition is good and there is a lovely dimpled metal surface there to exploit. What is the product ?? thumbnail looked like bits of a racing car silhouette ? I like the trails of colour in the background but personally I'm not keen on square crops. Tell me more.....
TFS,
Neil.

Hi there Colin,
First of all I think for an add it would be best to have a "razorsharp" image, specially if it's about knifes!
To really recognize what it is one should have better look. This image is quite dark and in first place I didn't see they were knifes.
I do however like the atmosphere you have captured here.
I think if you put some black cloth in the background you'd come a long way!!!
Keep on going. I'm very curious to the results.

:-)
Anneke
