I must say this is a powerful macro shot. One of your best work. The deep green background with dark tone gives a good contrast to the saturated colors of the flower. You have managed very well on the direction and control of light, to show the stems with sharpness, even highlight the hairy thorn needles.

The shade inside the petals are well defined. I really like this capture. Keep posting such a great macro.
