Taken in Ala-Too square in Bishkek. The guards perform quite a ceremony before assuming their positions.
I wanted to capture the uniformity and rigidness of the monument and soldiers.
For PP I cropped and erased a few distracting details (powerline, and light fixture). The picture was rather drab so i worked on the levels and color to pick it up. From there I sharpened and resized. |

Nobody sees beauty here? What a pity.
Great picture Sean; geometrical very attractive and I like the lightplays on the guards. What do these men just think when they are doing this ceremony; how can you start a working day when this is your job. And coming home, seeing your partner; asking how was your day .....
A picture that brings up these thoughts.
