This woman is homeless, and not living in reality. She has collected all these bags of trash from various places, and now is rummmaging for her dinner in them. She finds enough clothes and food to survive, and pays no attention to the world outside of her own inner one.

Dure image d'une réalité pourtant bien présente.
Il est intolérable que des gens aient faim et froid au 21 ième siècle.

A very sad picture. It really makes you realize how hard some people have it and how lucky we are to have a place to call home and food on the table. A sobering reminder for all of us. Thanks.

the colorful stuff she carries make it even more dramatic and ironic.

I love this photo. I was a little disapointed in the quality and the fact that I could not see the man's face on my monitor but I worked in it in Photoshop and it is a VERY powerful photo. Especially when you can see the man's grin as he chews his bone!

She finds plenty clothes and food to survive, and it doesn't pay any attention out for the world of her own internal.
in fact this scene is common in the whole world, without exception
A beautiful picture, but it is the reality.

Hi Gloria,
As difficult and poor as it may seem to us who can't imagine ourselves living a decent life without all of the offerings that modern society presents and imposes, I honestly believe that, in spite of the obvious lack of higiene and comfort, this woman MUST be happier and more free than MOST people.
