Every full moon, the monks get a feast. Women of the village cook treats, buy sweets, donate money, for all the monks at each temple. A ceremony is held with the women sitting in rows on the floor. They light candles and incense. The monks have a long table set up with all their bowls in two rows. After praying to bless the food, it is distributed into all the monks bowls. The monks normally beg for food each money and afternoon from doorways of the village. They receive food, the villagers receive good blessings. This is a special lunar occasion every month, the monks look forward to with great delight! The woman started to arrive at 7:00 am with bamboo baskets, and bowls of fruit. (I sat with a woman my age, with short hair. When you are a widow, you shave your head at the time of your husbands death. No on else sat near her).

Hi Gloria, it's been a while. I see you're still out there with the camera managing to get shots of things most of us will never get to see except on Discovery Channel. I'm impressed.

Hi gloria,

Natural position in on the movement of the monks sharing
their meal. Great color. Very interesting presentation too.

Best salutations,
Léonce.
