| The Lunar festival is a great day for the monks. Normally they beg each day for their food. Today, the village women have cooked the best of food possible for the monks to eat. I was walking by, and I also was invited. It was delicious!!! The important monks get huge trays with some of everything. The lower ranking monks and students gets food placed directly in their beggig bowls. I was given the tray of the head monks after he was done eating. the woman also feasted on the food after the monks were full. The left overfood was now holy, and taken home to share with their families. |
