| This man made me 18 cds first. I wondered how he fit about 36 gigabytes on 18 cds at once. I did not check them. Later he voluntered to fix my computer for $50. It could not boot, one file was missing. So I let him. What he did was take 3-8 mg pictures, reduce them to 100 bytes, 333-900 bytes, or if lucky, 1mg. He forever ruined 2 years worth of pictures. "He did not know they were important". He was frantically waving his arms when I took this picture, hence the blur. I had 60 gigabytes filled with all my travel pictures. I later found out he had a hard drive in the cupboard with a copy of all my pictures, and had them on his computer. I am warning all travelers to check your cds immediately, before you erase the cards. He ruined my computer too. I think he traded my parts for inferior ones...... Now the computer is a bit better, but the pixels on huge pictures are gone forever. When I was robbed of all my foreign and US cash a few days later, I gave up, and left Laos. I never met such nice people, so I must have found the only two bad apples there. |
