Hi Randy,

the most i like about this shot is the BG color tone, this help the colorful main subject to standout, wise utilization of your flash.

Hi Randy,
I like this macro, mainly because of your composition and the colours. Good background blur, to help distinguish your subject, however it appears that the flower is overpowering the butterfly a little as the butterfly has a very neutral colour, although you have captured some great detail. I also like how you have added the leaf in the left of the picture, it gives it a little bit of a wow factor.

For me this awesome dude. Close up captured that turned out good. Clear details, sharp and good composition. Two different tone of BG, create good mood for this captured. The flower colour add good contras for the main subject. xp

i like the transition of colours from left to right and the butterfly is just perfectly at the centre of it!
clarity and sharpness are well seen in the butterfly eye and wings. and i notice here that you managed to avoid the harshness of light.

kadang-kadang saya serba salah mau simpan kategori macro ataupun tidak kalau saya guna zoom lens, sebab macro dan close-up ada definisi berlainan.

I think this is your best macro work so far and it looks like you are going to do well with macro.

Perhaps for this center position, you can try some crops to get the best effect. Or if you have other shots that move the lens a little to right side and avoid the green leaf behind, then off center will be great. Keep shooting!

But very sharp and great color and BG blur. I like it.
