Hello TL!

There are 3 islands here that have become heaven for divers, namely Sipadan (now disallowing overnight stay), Kapalai and Mabul islands. Jacques-Yves Cousteau (11 June 1910 – 25 June 1997), the French explorer and diver, got so excited about diving at Sipadan when he visited and declared it "an untouched piece of art"

One of our best times must be the 2D/1N we spent on Mabul Island, about 30 minutes boat ride from Kapalai or Sipadan islands. We spent a morning on Kapalai island doing snorkeling and discovering the fish and underwater creatures. For Mabul, your choices are

1. comfortable resort living with amenities, pay that extra $$ for the luxury in modern architectural chalets

2. simple homestay with locals and interact with them

Along the horizon, at the edge of the chalet in the middle of the picture, the water depth drops and that is where diving is provided. A place like this stays in memory forever due to its natural beauty, believe me.

Hi Bill
A nice postcard, Good Scene.
Great colors and POV.
Creative frame. TFS.
Warm regards, Alireza!

Well I didn't mark your note useful because it a) didn't say anything about the photography itself, and b) didn't mention anything about those objects in the foreground!

Anyway, that aside; it's a picturesque scene and the exposure is perfectly done. It doesn't have the usual super-crisp sharpness and actually I like that, it somehow makes it more real.

I'm not a fan of the lettering at all, I think you could've used the picture title alone; but that's a personal thing I guess.

Hi Bill,
Lovely scene but lacks some sharpness I feel. With the Canadian winter approaching and the weather turning bit by bit colder, this is a really welcome sight. I think the text on the picture is a distraction. Great colours.

I can see why this would stay with you forever, Bill. It is indeed very inviting looking the way you have presented it. Your POV is superb to invite us into the water. (what would the round things be?) What a peaceful feeling to this with great natural colour. Well done.

Hi Bill,
Beautiful postcard perfect photo. Speaking of which, I think many of your photos can be turned into postcards. The quality you emphasise in your work would definitely make it possible.

Alvin

Olá Bill,

Amazing tropical beach. The colors are superb. Sharp and fine details photo.

Great shot!!!

Best Regards from Portugal,

Hi Bill...nice beach scene with excellent details and colors.

Roger

There are many photographers on the site who make no mention at all about photography in their notes, as for the lettering it is a postcard. The only nit pick I do have Bill is the fact that you appear to have levelled your horizon after you tilted the image. Good postcard colour and sharpness,
David

Hi, Bill, very beautiful place, and I must admit that almost all of my friends imagine this place as ideal...

Hie Bill,

How are you there. Long time no see. So this is the famous Mabul Island I've heard from the news lately. Environmental issues for Mabul island development. But this island is really beautiful.
Btw, I have just got myself a nikon D60..my sony DSC H1 has broke down. lol

TFS,
Hong

Hi Bill,
Long time no see my dear friend. It has been a while.

Always love going places with the sun behind on my left. There's something "quiet and gentle" about the scene in front with that kind of setting.

My coding work is taking over my life nowadays Bill. Only tomorrow I get to take Ramdan, Fadzil and Lano for a phototrek at a waterfall in Kionsom.

As for the natural resources of our country Bill, as long as it's standing, floating, growing or living, there are those related to the government would find that, so difficult to let it be. The only time when they don't do anything to it, is when it is dying. Or dead.

Regards
Bani
