Hello Friends,

here is my contribution of this week theme.. this is an old shot from last year.. usually i don't take shot like this.. this is everyday scene in Port where i work.. taken on one morning.. the cranes were already attache to MV Iran Broojerdi of Iran.. not a lovely sight..

a bit about Cranes (Machine) from wiki..

A crane is a lifting machine equipped with a winder (also called wire rope drum), wire ropes or chains and sheaves that can be used both to lift and lower materials and to move them horizontally. It uses one or more simple machines to create mechanical advantage and thus move loads beyond the normal capability of a human. Cranes are commonly employed in the transport industry for the loading and unloading of freight; in the construction industry for the movement of materials; and in the manufacturing industry for the assembling of heavy equipment.

a big thank you to Jahan for helping Tracey with the theme.. thanks for looking.. Have a safe weekend..

cheers, terry

Hello Terry.
That looks quiet Heavy. (well, the cranes I mean)
I see its forbidden to walk faster than 25 Km per hoour ?
Job will take longer then, right ?
Nice shot, Terry.

Bravo et amitié

Nicou

Well Terry this is the perfect exposure, sky is perfectly exposed! Good composition.

Bonjour Terry,

In fact, these are heavy equipment. Nice clear and sharp image. The yellow has a nice contrast with the blue tinted sky and the dard black shadows. Excellent subject for the Friday theme and TFS.

Alain

Hi Terry,
All those vertical lines make this an interesting image. Perfect sharp and the contrast and brightness are spot on, no OE in the brighter areas. A fine contribution to the theme Terry!

Hi Terry,
a very graphical approach to the subject. Well contraste with the sky and also the containers.
Quite interesting in a way...cjallenge to venture into every little bits of the signs.

Foozi
