When I bring camera on a trip, I will keep my flight hour fully occupied with shooting from the cabin window, especially when it is not raining outside. On one trip, I kept shooting even when the plane dropped a few times into air pocket turbulence.

It looks like full bloom of purple flower and the green leaves. Shot from a flight cabin window when flying from Kuching to Sibu along the coastline of Sarawak. It can be an interesting view to see all the green tropical rainforests. The fresh water spills into the river mouth into the sea and maps out a zone of the sea water with its deep rich color tone. This scenery is found merely 18 minutes after the plane ascended out of Kuching.

Perhaps a long time ago the coastline of Sarawak might have been protected by mangrove forests but in modern times, the coastal erosion is found to be very severe phenomenon, partly due to the geo-physical formation of the sea bed. Unlike Sabah coastline where you readily find clean beaches, Sarawak coastlines are affected not just by river sediments but also the South China Sea's wave action.

Certainly an interesting sight here Bill. I don't know if you paid so much attention to composition or crop, but maybe you did ...?

Regardless, the colours are strong and the view is nicely sharp.

Wonderful seen and captured.
Looks almost abstract.

Hi Bill
Whatever causes the purple water (that looks a lot like a pollution), it makes the composition interesting... graphically, beautiful. Sharp with nice colors.

Ramdan.

Hello Bill! Wonderful POV and capture. Amazing picture. Mysterious work. Great effect. Good luck!

Hi Bill,
A very special aerial impression. The colour purple is amazing! A pity the bright sea look OE in some areas of the picture. Nevertheless I like this shot which isn't easy to take from an aircraft cabinwindow.
A fine posting my friend!

Hi Bill,
very interesting picture. Is this colour caused by chemicals? if so I would not want to be anywhere near this place.

Hello,

Génail cet image, c'es une vue de la terre dans le ciel, quel effet fait cette eau qui entre dans l'estuarie, comme une immense fleur, avec ces dégradés de couleurs, grandiose.

Bravo et amitié

I have a couple of trips coming up Bill, I must see if I can finally take an aerial shot. A lovely effect created by the river entering the sea, good colour and even from that height, excellent detail,

Hi Bill,
A fine abstract and perspective. Strong colours too. But is that polluted water? That's saddening.

Hi Bill
An excellent aerial view the river mouth. It's really interesting the "flower" created by the water and the jungle on the right

very good shot, wonderful view hare, well done..

Strange and interesting photo Bill. It is very interesting to see what happens to water when it leaves a river and joins the ocean or a larger body of water and the effect is weird and wonderful in this image.

Keep shootin'

Although it doesnt look very healthy,it certainly looks like great colors.
Well done Bill.

It's beautiful Bill, how come the riverwater is purple? Here I would guess it is polution, but there I am not so sure.

I also keep on making pictures when we see land, only most of our trips involve crossing the Atlantic Ocean - not much to see there.
